SILLY SYMPHONY FAN, cardboard fan on wooden stick, marked "©WALT DISNEY ENTERPRISES," features Donald Duck, Elmer Elephant, Max Hare, Toby Tortoise, the Big Bad Wolf and the Three Little Pigs, as well as other Disney characters, measures 8-1/4" wide by 14" long (including wooden stick), made in USA in the 1930s. This was an advertising specialty piece; both sides are shown in photo. The back is imprinted with the advertisement of the business that gave the fan to customers; these where given by "Andrew J. Smith, Jr., Shoe Hospital, General Insurance, Notary Public." (Apparently Mr. Smith was a man for all occasions.) The condition is excellent with just a hint of tan edge aging (approximately 1/2" wide on back of fan).
